By car you take the N203 and the A9 and reach Beverwijk in about fifteen minutes. No tunnel on the route, and free parking right outside at the end.
By train, Uitgeest is the start of the Kennemerlijn: Castricum, Heemskerk, Beverwijk. Three stops, every half hour, without changing. From Beverwijk station it's about an eight-minute walk.
That makes a party here easy to arrange without a queue of parents having to drive. A group of ten and over can take the train perfectly well with one adult along — for many children that's the first part of the celebration.
