An outing that never gets called off

A sports season hangs on the weather: a training session that does not go ahead, a pitch under water. For the outing at the end of it all, you would rather not have to deal with that any more.

At PlayKinetix you play indoors. 9 game rooms with light-up floors that react to your feet and challenges you solve together. Nobody sits still. After three quarters of an hour they are as red in the face as after a match.

Parking is free and right outside the door, so the parents who drive are away again in no time.

Three moments in the season that work

An outing like this can happen all year round, but it nearly always lands in one of these three gaps.

June, after the last match

The classic end-of-season party. The drawback: half of sporting Netherlands does this in the same two weeks, and the Friday and Saturday evenings go first. Pick a date back in April and hold it with no obligation.

The winter break

From mid-December to mid-January everything comes to a standstill. Playing indoors is not a compromise then; it is the whole point.

The start of the season

In September half of them barely know each other. An afternoon where they need each other does something an extra training session does not.

Two teams at once is often smarter

You can come from 5 people upwards, so a small team is no problem. Even so, joining forces pays off: two teams from the same club, or the age group below coming along. The park holds 70 people.

That saves hassle: fewer parents driving, one group chat, one date. And you have two groups playing against each other. The wristband keeps the scores, so there is a result.

No idea yet how big the group will be? Send us an estimate via the contact form.

What it costs

For sports teams there is the Sport Deal: €24.50 per person, from 5 people.

  • 45 minutes of play in the game rooms
  • a break at your own table, with crisps and unlimited squash
  • then another 45 minutes of play
  • 1.5 hours in total
  • Sport Deal Plus costs €26.50 per person: the same, with a soft drink added

Work it out before you put it in the team app. Sixteen players plus three supervisors is nineteen people: €465.50. A team kitty will not cover that on its own. And 1.5 hours plus the drive makes an evening, not a day.

How you arrange it

  1. 1Well in advanceHold the date

You can have a date held with no obligation before you book definitively. Handy, because fifteen parents still have to reply first.

  2. 2A few weeks laterFirm up the numbers

Players, staff, who is driving. If you are teaming up with a second squad, this is when you settle it.

  3. 3On the day itselfArrive a little early

Wristbands on, a short briefing, into the first room. Send the players the game rooms beforehand.

What team managers usually ask

Is this not too childish for a JO15 or an MO15?

There is no bouncy castle and there is no clown wandering about. You stand in a darkened room with a countdown clock and a challenge you have to finish in time. Afterwards everyone knows who really ran.

Can we come on a weekday evening, after training?

Partly. On Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday you can start until 18:00, so that works out as after school rather than after training. Friday and Saturday are possible until 22:00. On Monday and Tuesday we are closed.

There are nineteen of us. Will half the group be left waiting?

No. The group spreads out across the 9 game rooms and rotates. The park takes 70, so a full team with staff is never too big.

And what if the weather turns out to be glorious that day?

Then you play indoors. That sounds like a shame, until you remember that you picked that date in March and by June there is nothing left to move. With us it always goes ahead.

Other towns nearby

Is your group coming from a different town? Then the route and the journey time are set out separately there.

Shall we hold a date for you?

Let us know what kind of team it is, how many of you there are and which date you have in mind. Holding it commits you to nothing.
